The Manolakakis family immigrated to the United States from our native village of Metamorfosi, Lakonia, Greece in 1976.

The Manolakakis family, originally from the island of Crete in the southern Mediterranean, migrated to the village of Metamorfosi, Lakonia in the southeast Peloponnese peninsula in the late 19th century.         Our family's experience with farming, the cultivation of olives and the production of extra virgin olive oil dates back to the late 19th century. Our olive groves were initially planted by my great grandfather Panagiotis. The olive groves were later expanded by my grandfather Konstantinos, in the early 20th century. My father Evangelos and mother Panagiota continued our family tradition in farming, olive cultivation and the production of extra virgin olive oil until they immigrated to the United States in 1976, in pursuit of the American dream.
